Illaturas

Itinerant artistic project with an intercultural approach

Illaturas is an invitation to explore inner territories, such as the universe of desires, dreams, and deep intuitions. To recover the sense of the small, of rituality, of the creative force that has moved through miniatures since pre-Inca times.

Based on the premise that there is no difference between an artist and an artisan, this is a collaborative project to recover the memory and the symbolic value of miniatures, with the intention of contributing to the strengthening of ancestral knowledge, around the festivities of Santa Anita and Alasitas.

The illas in the rural Andean area are small figures, considered as incarnation itself, energised materiality, charms.

In order to bring contemporary miniatures and archaeological illas into dialogue, to focus on the rescue of community traditions and what we wish to make grow, we invite you to reflect on collective desires.

Illaturas born with the intention of becoming a living museum, itinerant, traveling and transporting dreams and desires, in order to inspire and enhance the manifestation and the joy of sharing the tenderness latent in each piece.

It is a joint proposal between diverse beings, lifestyles and imaginaries, which recognizes the miniature as a seed that encourages the growth of everything that is desired.

ILLATURAS proposes a horizontal and intergenerational exchange of knowledge and experiences from listening and accompaniment to approach the creation of intercultural artistic alliances. It is in the power of the encounter, where memories, experiences and sentipensares, give shape to this project in charge of Sol Marinucci.
